Job summary

Safran Seats in Gainesville, Texas is hiring a Manufacturing Planner II to support production planning and routing activities for aerospace seating assemblies. You will create and revise routings and BOMs, enter part numbers, and manage shop orders while applying best practices to maintain schedule integrity.

The role requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years in manufacturing planning, and familiarity with MRP systems.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in a related technical field or 3 years of manufacturing planning experience in lieu of degree.
At least 3 years of production planning or manufacturing experience.
APICS certification is a plus.
Must have technical knowledge of production processes, equipment capability and material characteristics.

Responsibilities

Create and revise routing and BOMs for assigned parts and assemblies.
Enter part numbers, item master, item balance, structure, and routing in the system.
Redline shop manufacturing orders using best shop practices.
Determine lead times for individual steps and overall process.
MRP system implementation for new and existing programs, including rework and spare tags.
Identify and resolve problems in assigned areas.
Pull drawing requests from queue and process with minimal supervision.
