Job summary

Safran S.A. in Carson, CA, is seeking a Production Planner 2 to join our Planning team. You will plan and schedule workflow across stations, manage material requirements, and drive on-time delivery through proactive expediting and coordination with purchasing and manufacturing.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent ERP/MRP experience, 3+ years in production or material planning, and strong proficiency with MS Office and MRP systems. Collaboration and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent ERP/MRP experience.
• 3+ years of production or material planning experience.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001 quality systems is preferred.
• Experience with an MRP system and MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans and schedules work flow for every workstation according to manufacturing sequence and control lead time.
• Controls material requirements per BOMs and production flow; expedites as needed.
• Prepares production and productivity reports, cost analysis graphs, and delivery charts.
• Validates Bill of Material in the MRP system and reviews engineering drawings.
• Sets up purchase requisitions and coordinates with Purchasing for lead times and quantities.
• Maintains inventory levels and supports testing and qualification for new programs.
