Job summary

Pratt Whitney in Asheville, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Operator trainee to learn basic production processes and complete customized training at AB Tech. The role requires shift flexibility for training and includes working Monday-Thursday, 2nd shift (4:15pm–2:45am).

You will operate various production equipment, interpret instruction sheets, and collaborate with engineers and quality teams to resolve machining issues while progressing toward operator certification.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; U.S. citizenship required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn production systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate clearly.
• Ability to read operation sheets and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work instructions.
• Learn to set up and operate production equipment.
• Obtain operator certification to accept/reject parts.
• Maintain machines through total preventative maintenance (TPM).
