Job summary

Pratt Whitney in Asheville, NC is seeking a Machine Operator for a 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs, 4:15pm-2:45am) to read work instructions, set up and operate production equipment, and perform TPM to maintain machines. You will collaborate with engineers, QA, and production staff to resolve issues on the line.

Applicants should have a HS Diploma/GED and U.S. citizenship; prior manufacturing experience or advanced manufacturing certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to the program/contract.
• Previous Manufacturing experience or education or Advanced Manufacturing Certification.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work instructions.
• Set up and operate a variety of production equipment and measuring devices.
• Obtain operator certification to be able to accept/reject parts.
• Maintain machines by performing TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance).
• Work collaboratively with engineers, QA, programmers and other production personnel to resolve machining problems.
