Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Structures and Mechanisms Value Stream Leader to head a multi-disciplined manufacturing Operations team for program delivery. You will partner with program management to plan and balance special programs, interfacing with engineering, quality, supply chain and finance to achieve site goals.

The role emphasizes leadership, daily management under SQDEC, staff development, and resource planning across multiple centers. US citizenship is required for aerospace programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of manufacturing operations and/or program leadership experience; OR 3 years with a Master's degree.
• Additional 4 years' experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience managing or leading a team of Engineers or Technicians.
• Proven track record in achieving manufacturing and operational results and timely decisions.
• Experience using MS Project for program scheduling and maintenance.
• Root cause problem solving and continuous improvement skills.
• Knowledge of process standards and risk management identification and mitigation.
• Experience in the Aerospace Industry; US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and is responsible for production schedules.
• Maintain line of balance and critical path schedule reports.
• Lead daily management standards for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Employee, Cost (SQDEC).
• Leads a multi-disciplined manufacturing operation team.
• Conducts periodic performance reviews for staff.
• Perform regular 1:1 with direct reports.
• Own value stream staffing and resource allocation.
• Drive continuous improvement and escalate key issues.
• Coordinate with program management, manufacturing engineering, quality, and supply chain.
• Develop hiring, onboarding and retention plans for the value stream.
• Ensure staffing and resource conflicts are resolved.
• Support cost and proposal reviews.
• Oversee training requirements and travel up to 10%.
