Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering organization in a high‑mix, high‑volume aerospace metal‑mechanics environment in the greater Austin area. This onsite role demands strong leadership, process optimization, and cross‑functional collaboration.

You will drive Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives, manage engineering data and ERP/MES processes, and develop talent across teams while traveling up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive Manufacturing Engineering experience with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute the Manufacturing Engineering strategy for high‑mix, high‑volume aerospace metal‑mechanics.
• Ensure alignment of product requirements, engineering specs, and shop‑floor execution to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with NADCAP, AS9100, FAA, OSHA and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management, suppliers, and other sites to resolve constraints.
• Optimize processes, capacity, labor, equipment, tooling, and cycle times to support growth.
• Lead manufacturing technology, automation, and capital investments for current and future production.
• Develop Manufacturing Engineering talent through coaching and standardization.
• Travel up to 25%.
