Karman Space & Defense in Mukilteo, WA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead cross-program manpower planning and scheduling on a 9/80 schedule. The role requires advancing staffing across multiple programs while maintaining DoD security clearance readiness.

You will collaborate with program leads to set realistic workloads, mentor engineers, and drive on-time delivery of mission-critical hardware. This is an on-site, full-time position.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in manufacturing engineering environments.
• B.S. in Engineering required.
• 5+ years in engineering leadership including aerospace/engineering.
• Experience in resource planning, scheduling, and managing technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate labor demand across programs into a single functional view.
• Traffic control for functional resource requests; identify conflicts early.
• Drive proactive hiring by identifying staffing gaps.
• Allocate resources across programs to balance workload and support career growth.
• Track assignments against work orders and monitor utilization.
• Coordinate logistics for engineering standards and training delivery.
