Job summary

Karman Space & Defense in Mukilteo, WA, seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex aerospace and defense programs, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, quality and contracts to ensure mission-critical outcomes.

You will guide cross-functional teams, manage cost, schedule, scope, and technical risks, and coordinate with customers and stakeholders while supporting business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years engineering experience, including 4+ years in aerospace or systems engineering.
• Proven ability to plan, develop, and execute complex programs.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, scope, and technical risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex aerospace and defense programs.
• Guide cross-functional engineering teams and coordinate customer communication.
• Support business development and proposals.
• Ensure documentation of engineering activities (drawings, reports, presentations).
• Monitor program performance with metrics and mitigate risks.
• Support technical reviews and milestone reviews.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, QA, Contracts, Finance.
• Manage scope, cost, schedule, and technical performance.
