Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a Site Manager in Mukilteo, WA to lead our engineering and manufacturing operations. You will oversee programs, drive operational excellence, and ensure profitable execution across the site.

The role requires 15+ years in aerospace/manufacturing, AS9100 experience, and expertise with Lean, ERP, and P&L management. Relocation to the Seattle area is preferred; the company offers robust benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical, aerospace, industrial, manufacturing engineering, or related technical field.
• 15+ years of experience in midsize to large aerospace and defense engineering or manufacturing organizations.
• Experience with AS9100 compliance.
• Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies (Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen).
• Experience with ERP systems, including integration and implementation.
• P&L management experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in high-precision, regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mukilteo engineering and manufacturing site, overseeing programs, operations, and overall performance.
• Drive operational excellence by implementing standardized processes and KPIs to improve efficiency.
• Optimize facility utilization, product flow, and ERP performance for better planning and throughput.
• Establish and manage metrics for machine utilization, labor productivity, profitability, and site health.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and effective communication to drive growth and change.
• Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers and support talent development.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field
