Job summary

RTX Landing Systems is seeking an intern/co-op to help optimize production processes in Troy, OH. You will support assembly, machining, coating, and testing operations while driving quality improvements and cost savings.

You will gain exposure to audits (AS9100/NADCAP) and cross-functional teams, leveraging data visualization to communicate metrics and project updates. This onsite role offers relocation eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Industrial Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assure processes, equipment, fixture design, routings, programming, tooling, and standard work in support of production requirements. Plant processes include: Assembly Processes for Aircraft Brakes and Wheels, Machining, Anodize, Chemical Etch, Aluminum Conversion Coating, Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, Waste Water Treatment, and Shot Peen.
• Continuously improve quality and productivity using the CORE Operating System for products and processes including compliance to these processes.
• Identify and implement cost savings as related to direct and indirect labor savings, and expense account budgets.
• Support activities related to compliance audits including AS9100, NADCAP, etc.
• Support Project and Contractor Management
