Job summary

Accurus Aerospace Wichita is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support machining, sheet-metal fabrication and assembly. The ME Tech will document processes, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with internal teams and aerospace customers on quality matters.

You will interpret drawings, lead small improvements, and ensure AS9100 and ITAR compliance in a hands-on role across engineering, production, and quality. ITAR restrictions apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing, machining, sheet metal or mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read GD&T and technical specs.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with Teams/SharePoint helpful.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Infor Visual, JobBOSS, Epicor or similar).
• Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Interpret drawings, 3D models, and specs to build accurate processes.
• Collaborate with machining, fabrication, and assembly teams to ensure robust processes.
• Lead cost‑reduction initiatives and drive process improvements.
• Support first article builds and resolve manufacturability issues.
• Lead root‑cause investigations for quality issues.
• Interface with aerospace customers on quality and technical matters.
• Document control plans, FMEAs, ECNs, and ensure AS9100 compliance.
