Job summary

Beyond Gravity, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own daily structures production support and drive safety, quality, cost and delivery performance. You will work cross-functionally to define work instructions, equipment, and training, while leading continuous improvements across manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Manufacturing Engineering in a complex setting.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and OSHA standards.
• Space or Aerospace experience.
• Production line leadership experience.
• Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma knowledge with ERP experience.
• Experience with MES, CAD, and related software.
• Solution-driven, customer-oriented, and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to manufacturing operations to ensure quality, OTD, and cost targets.
• Define manufacturing work instructions, equipment, tooling and training with cross-functional teams.
• Utilize project management to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
• Lead non-conformance root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvements to meet customer quality, cost and demand.
• Document and support strategic operations programs and customer programs.
• Coach production technicians and create training materials for software and hardware.
• Establish standard work and eliminate waste to boost productivity.
• Develop new jigs, tooling, and processes to meet requirements.
• Participate in change management and process/design improvements.
• Collaborate with international colleagues to standardize processes across the portfolio.
• Provide daily support for VSM, DtC/DfM inputs, and program engineering.
• Ensure on-time milestone fulfilment and readiness of equipment and documents.
• Manage production means and drive improvements; track KPIs.
