Job summary

Beyond Gravity in Trinity, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide daily production support for structures, driving safety, quality, cost and delivery. You will cross-functionally define work instructions, equipment, tooling, and training, manage improvement projects, and enforce standard work across the line.

A B.S. in engineering and 5+ years in a complex manufacturing setting are required, with AS9100/OSHA knowledge, space industry experience, and familiarity with SAP, MES, CAD, ERP

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or equivalent in engineering with relevant experience
• 5+ years of hands-on Manufacturing Engineering experience
• AS9100 and OSHA knowledge or equivalent
• Space or Aerospace experience
• Production line leadership experience
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge; SAP or ERP and MS Office
• MES and CAD software experience
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to manufacturing operations to ensure quality, on-time delivery and controlled costs
• Define manufacturing work instructions, equipment, materials and training with cross-functional teams
• Use project management tools to meet cost, technical and schedule requirements
• Support continuous improvements and root-cause analysis for non-conformances
• Ensure standard work and documentation for programs and customer projects
