Job summary

Actalent in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to establish scalable production processes for electromechanical assemblies in an aerospace/defense environment.

You will design layouts, develop work instructions, fixtures, and testing procedures while partnering with design engineering to improve manufacturability and quality. 3+ years in similar roles is preferred and this is an on-site contract position in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing-related field required.
• 3+ years supporting electromechanical assembly operations.
• Experience creating work instructions and manufacturing docs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement assembly line layouts and material flow.
• Develop work instructions, travelers, and records.
• Design fixtures and tooling; establish testing procedures.
• Monitor yield, throughput, and defect rates; drive improvements.
• Provide DF(M) recommendations and support ERP/MRP use.
• Train technicians and ensure safety and quality compliance.
