Job summary

Actalent, based in Pontiac, IL, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer V for a contract role. The engineer will optimize layouts, develop processes, create and interpret drawings, and drive improvements across maintenance, production, and related operations with hands-on and data-driven methods.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, leading MSA and FMEA activities, and ensuring quality and performance meet stringent standards in a factory setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Approximately 5+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis) and FMEA.
• Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
• Experience creating and maintaining process flow documentation.
• Experience developing and managing control plans.

Responsibilities

• Study time, motion, methods, and speed to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.
• Review logs and specification sheets to verify QA adherence.
• Analyze charts and diagrams to optimize workflows and layouts.
• Develop and maintain process flow documentation for manufacturing steps.
• Lead MSA and FMEA activities to mitigate risks.
• Support PCNs and validate processes and equipment.
