Job summary

Stellant Systems in Williamsport, PA, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to provide floor support for aerospace product assembly, including high- and low-voltage power supplies and related electronics. You will resolve production problems, analyze operations, and support cross-functional teams.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required along with knowledge of space electronics assembly and related processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields related to manufacturing.
Knowledge of space electronics processes, soldering, bonding, encapsulation, crimping and unit assembly.
Understanding of manufacturing engineering and production activities.

Responsibilities

Analyze sequence of operations affecting production performance and tooling concepts.
Support define/product/supplier teams (make-buy).
Assist in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies.
Implement manufacturing plans and design changes.
Coordinate and provide technical direction for manufacturing phases.
Review drawings, processes, equipment, and recommend changes for efficiency and cost reductions.
Incorporate engineering changes through all manufacturing phases.
Review workflow, layout, lead times, and adjust as needed.
Develop back schedules and basic manufacturing configuration.
Determine planning and tooling to meet contract requirements.
Monitor progress and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
