Job summary

Luminator Technology Group in Plano, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to troubleshoot designs, materials, or processes for aviation-based interior and exterior lighting products for commercial and military aircraft. The role is onsite at our Plano headquarters, Monday–Friday, with sponsorship not offered.

Education required is a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with 3–5+ years of experience and proficiency in LabView, Mastercam, or SolidWorks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
  • Minimum 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Lean Silver, Six Sigma, or Certified ME certification.

Responsibilities

  • Designs innovative new products meeting functional, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety requirements.
  • Engage in system concept development, requirements engineering, system architecture development and test strategy development.
  • Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles.
  • Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
  • Own product delivery timeline from conception to launch.
