Job summary

Luminator Technology Group is seeking a Lead Aerospace Certification Engineer for its Plano, TX headquarters. You will lead certification and regulatory compliance efforts for aircraft lighting and software-controlled systems, coordinating with engineering, quality, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.

The role emphasizes DO-160 environmental testing, system safety considerations, and DO-178C/DO-254 familiarity, with oversight of on-site test laboratories and certification activities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in aerospace, avionics, or regulated product development.
• Familiarity with FAA/EASA certification processes or compliance testing.
• Experience with lab or environmental testing (DO-160 or similar).
• Strong technical writing and organizational skill.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead aircraft certification and regulatory compliance activities.
• Provide oversight of onsite test laboratories and ensure readiness and compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and regulatory representatives.
• Develop certification strategies and demonstrate compliance with FAA and EASA requirements.
• Participate in certification reviews, audits, and test events.
