Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Parsippany, NJ to design and optimize factory layouts and workflows for aerospace components. You will develop production methods, create work instructions, and build books, tools, fixtures, and equipment to support manufacturing and overhaul processes.

Qualified candidates hold a BS in Engineering with 4–6 years in manufacturing/industrial engineering, proficient in Creo CAD and GD&T, and experienced with Lean manufacturing in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical or Aerospace.
• 4–6 years in a manufacturing/industrial engineering role.
• Proficiency with Creo or equivalent CAD and GD&T drawing standards.
• Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and communicate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement factory layouts and material flow to reduce bottlenecks and waste.
• Develop production methods, cell setup, routers, build books, and SOPs.
• Coordinate acquisition of needed equipment and tooling.
• Develop and maintain production standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical problems and test failures.
• Review drawings for manufacturability and write ECOs as needed.
• Witness and evaluate acceptance tests to verify performance and test procedures.
• Research, design, and test new tools, machinery, and automated systems.
• Review designs for continuous improvement and manufacturability.
• Build manufacturing bills of materials from engineering BOMs.
• Consult with equipment manufacturers and suppliers for installation and procurement.
• Conduct audits in various company areas.
