Job summary

Amarillo Gear Company LLC in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to improve processes, boost machine efficiency, and lead capital projects. You will apply Lean principles across cross-functional teams including Safety, Quality, Production, and Maintenance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering with 1–3 years of experience, strong communication, and familiarity with ISO 9001. CAD skills and Green Belt are preferred assets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
1–3 years industrial experience in lean manufacturing and capital projects.
Green Belt Certification preferred.
Familiar with ISO 9001 and GD&T.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Lean and Value Engineering projects to improve productivity.
Lead 5S, Kaizen events, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, and Visual Management.
Monitor OEE, machine utilization, downtime, scrap, and throughput to drive predictive maintenance.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional communication.
Create manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, and SOPs.
Collaborate with Quality to reduce defects and improve process capability.
