Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Wichita, KS facility. The role involves preparing equipment, tooling, materials, and methods to produce products at the lowest cost while maintaining quality.

You will design tooling, manage shop orders, and liaise with customers to ensure compliance with quality requirements. The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering (or 7 years of related experience), strong CAD/CAM skills, and expertise in sheet metal fabrication, GD&T, and lean tools.

Qualifications

• Requires Engineering Degree (BS) or seven years of related experience.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication methods and CAD modeling.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and fixturing design for fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes and tooling to produce parts at lowest cost while meeting quality specs.
• Review customer docs to ensure manufacturing plans reflect requirements.
• Create tooling drawings and plan work orders for fabrication, in-house or outsourced.
