Job summary

Parker Hannifin's Exotic Metals Forming Division seeks a Manufacturing Engineer 2 for aerospace applications. The role designs, implements, and reviews manufacturing processes and capital projects, aiming to optimize production, quality, cost, and safety across a single facility.

You will drive process improvements, support engineering design, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver robust manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field required.
  • 2-5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or related field.
  • Ability to apply engineering concepts to improve processes and layouts.
  • Systematic, disciplined, and analytical problem solving skills.
  • Experience scoping and leading capital or process-change projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Apply continuous improvement methods to quality and manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with data structures and database programming.
  • Ability to work with CAD/CAM systems and analysis tools.
  • Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and plans manufacturing processes to improve assembly of Parker products.
  • Leads process-improvement projects focusing on efficiency, yield, safety, and cost.
  • Provides engineering design support and guidance on equipment usage.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance for complex processes and standards.
  • Investigates quality issues and implements corrective actions.
  • Leads capital equipment and process-improvement projects end-to-end with cross-functional teams.
