Job summary

Knight Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our San Antonio, TX manufacturing team. This on-site role focuses on creating routings, BOMs, and build plans from Engineering data to support Production Control and Purchasing.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in manufacturing with routings/BOMs, aerospace exposure, and familiarity with ERP systems. Strong GD&T reading and CAD skills are a plus; the company offers competitive benefits and a 5% annual bonus target.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED required.
Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience in routings/BOMs and drawing reviews.
Minimum 1 year aerospace manufacturing experience.
Preferred: knowledge of JobBoss Software (or similar ERP).
Preferred: experience programming G-code for CNC machining (Haas 4-axis).
Preferred: CAD knowledge.
Preferred: Lean/kaizen/5S experience.

Responsibilities

Create routing/job travelers for each manufacturing operation.
Create routing/job travelers in ERP system or Excel from drawings released by Engineering.
Conduct in-depth review of engineering drawings prior to release.
Verify BOM from engineering drawings and modify for revisions.
Identify correct build sequence with Production.
Address engineering changes and BOM modifications on floor.
Review drawings for possible errors or missing information.
Identify tooling and fixturing improvements to increase efficiency.
Identify and implement process improvements (5S, kaizen, lean 6S).
