Job summary

The Marvin Group, a defense contractor based in Southern California near LAX, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer with aerospace background focused on mechanical and electro-mechanical components. You will break down customer requirements, create manufacturing planning and BOM, and design tooling to improve processes while ensuring quality and certification criteria.

Responsibilities include supporting production, identifying process improvements, and coordinating with teams to reduce manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
Familiarity with MIL-STD, ASME Y14.5 GD&T, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

Support production to ensure parts are built to specifications and engineering docs.
Provide feedback to improve product design for manufacturability, cost, and lead time.
Prepare engineering changes to support manufacturing and part quality.
Identify new equipment, tools, and processes to improve consistency and cycle times.
Design tooling, fixtures and jigs to improve manufacturing with reduced costs.
Ensure processes comply with engineering, customer, and company specs.
Interface with assemblers, supervisors, and management regularly.
Provide technical support to troubleshoot manufacturing processes to meet quality standards.
