Job summary

W3Global is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Level I/II/III) to develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes in an aerospace/precision machining environment. The role collaborates with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Programming teams to ensure efficiency, high quality, and on-time delivery.

This hands-on engineering role focuses on parts, processes, tooling, and CNC machining operations, with level determined by experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, aircraft, or precision machining environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Experience with ERP systems (JobBoss or similar) preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods on the production floor.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes, routings, and work instructions.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models to ensure manufacturability.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation and revision-controlled manufacturing data.
  • Support CNC machining operations by resolving manufacturing and production issues.
  • Design and improve tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Programming, Quality, and Production teams to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) from concept through production.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production and quality issues.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with customer, quality, and regulatory requirements, including ITAR where applicable.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as appropriate for experience level.
