Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Windsor Locks, CT, is seeking a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing methods for hardware used in Life Support and Thermal Control applications. You will author assembly documentation, work with internal teams and suppliers, and lead root-cause analyses to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with machining processes and CAD modelling (Creo) is highly desirable.
  • Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies are expected.
  • Experience with Life Support and/or Thermal Control hardware is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement mechanical manufacturing methods for hardware, aligned with production goals.
  • Author assembly documentation and design tooling for high-quality hardware assembly.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and suppliers for spec compliance.
  • Lead root-cause investigations and drive corrective actions for non-conforming hardware.
  • Document sequences for complex operations and optimize for assembly, disassembly, and repair.
