Collins Aerospace in Manchester, IA is seeking an on-site Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op for Summer/Fall 2027. You will work closely with production-floor staff and engineers to analyze product flow and implement fixtures and tooling solutions.

You'll gain hands-on experience with laser machines, 3D printers, and manufacturing processes, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in a real aerospace environment.

Formación

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM major through the completion of the co-op session.
• Completion of at least 60 credit hours prior to the start of the internship/co-op session.
• On-site, full-time co-op during Summer/Fall 2027 in Manchester, IA.

Responsabilidades

• Work alongside Industrial Engineers, production-floor operators, and manufacturing support staff to resolve product flow, quality, ergonomic, and safety issues.
• Develop or improve designs for fixtures or tooling to support manufacturing processes, as well as build, verify, and implement those fixtures.
• Identify root causes of manufacturing defects and process inhibitors, and implement effective corrective measures.
• Program and operate laser machines, 3D printers, and other manufacturing equipment to develop fixtures.
• Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
