Job summary
GKN Aerospace is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility systems with a focus on electrical distribution and HVAC equipment.
The role involves troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electrical and mechanical systems to ensure safe, reliable facility operations across shifts. Candidates should have hands-on industrial maintenance experience and strong electrical/mechanical skills.
Qualifications
- Hands-on maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Experience with 480 VAC electrical systems and motor controls.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of production, facility, utility, and process equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and process equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair 480 VAC industrial electrical systems, motor control circuits, VFDs, servo systems, PLC-controlled equipment.
- Support HVAC systems including air handlers, rooftop units, exhaust systems, chillers, cooling systems, pumps, fans, dampers, controls.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
