Job summary

GKN Aerospace is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems across multiple lines. You will handle CNC machines, heat treat equipment, robotics, and utilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, can diagnose failures, and minimizes downtime through preventive and corrective maintenance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working on 480 VAC industrial electrical systems.
• Knowledge of VFDs and servo systems; PLC-controlled equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with CMMS and MS Office.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose machine failures using electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, manuals, and diagnostic software.
• Install, align, level, and commission new production equipment.
• Maintain CNC machining centers, robotic equipment, furnaces, HVAC systems, pumps, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Repair and replace bearings, ball screws, linear guides, gearboxes, couplings, belts, chains.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation in CMMS.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, continuous improvement projects, and machine relocations.
• Follow environmental, safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and company procedures.
