Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Maintenance Manager to support the F135 Field Team at Edwards AFB, CA. You will supervise hourly mechanics, coordinate propulsion maintenance, and lead with a focus on safety and quality.

You will collaborate with field services to resolve engine issues, ensure compliance with policies, and drive efficient maintenance operations in a demanding aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or business is required.
• Minimum of 8 years aviation maintenance experience.
• At least 3 years of managerial, supervisory and leadership experience.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a US DoD Secret security clearance within 12 months and maintain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of hourly mechanics and bondroom/toolcrib personnel in the P&W Jet Engine Shop.
• Coordinate multiple propulsion system maintenance support activities in the engine shop and flight line operating areas.
• Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through toolbox meetings and effective communications.
• Demonstrate consistency as a leader and improve working relationships across the organization.
• Work closely with P&W Field Services to resolve technical and logistical problems involving engine operation and maintenance.
• Ensure maintenance activities are performed IAW P&W Quality Policies, technical data, and safe engine operation practices.
• Support Government Property Management processes.
• Ensure safety culture is maintained and respond to EH&S requirements promptly.
• Identify problems, conduct root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Must be willing to work any shift.
