Job summary

Component Repair Technologies (CRT) in Mentor, OH, seeks a Machining Process Engineer to lead turning, milling, and grinding processes. You will manage continuous improvement projects to reduce rework, boost efficiency, and raise throughput, while creating standard operating procedures for production.

The role requires a strong technical background with project management and the ability to work independently and in teams to deliver thoroughly tested solutions.

Qualifications

• 4-year bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field; credit for 5+ years manufacturing experience as alternative.
• Ability to interpret OEM repair manuals, FAA regulations, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate issues with repair processes and engine components; resolve problems to improve processes and maintain quality.
• Collaborate with Production Managers to reduce rework and improve turnaround times.
• Develop or revise work instructions and tooling/fixturing to facilitate production; assist with new materials/processes.
• Ensure process quality and testing meet FAA-approved data and industry standards.
• Communicate repair processes, problem solving, and process development; train others per standards.
