Job summary

V2X Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Manager – First Line Supervisor in Indianapolis to lead day-to-day operations for machining, assembly, depot repair, and sustainment of aerospace products in a highly regulated environment.

You will manage safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people, ensuring compliance with AS9100/ISO and OSHA requirements. Key duties include coaching machinists and technicians, planning production, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet schedule goals and customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a production/manufacturing/aerospace or depot repair environment.
• Demonstrated leadership or lead/working lead experience (2+ years preferred).
• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Engineering Technology, Operations, or related field.
• Prior experience supervising calibration laboratories, tool crib/tool room operations, or aerospace/defense manufacturing or depot repair operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop machinists, technicians, and support staff.
• Schedule and prioritize work to meet production and depot repair commitments.
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide ongoing feedback.
• Support hiring through interviews and staffing recommendations.
• Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Track KPIs like OEE, on-time delivery, scrap rate, and labor productivity.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, and supply chain to resolve issues.
