Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Asheville, NC is seeking a Machine Operator to operate a variety of production machines within the designated business unit. You will read work instructions, set up equipment, and demonstrate the proficiency required to become a certified operator. Training is provided, with multiple shift schedules available.

You may work 1st-3rd shifts or weekend days/nights. The role requires U.S. citizenship and a high school diploma, and offers comprehensive benefits including health

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• U.S. citizenship required for access to program/contract information.
• Previous manufacturing experience or education or advanced manufacturing certification.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work instructions.
• Set up and operate production equipment and measuring devices.
• Work from operation sheets and oral instructions to set up equipment.
• Obtain operator certification to accept/reject parts.
• Maintain machines with total productive maintenance (TPM).
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and other personnel to resolve machining problems.
• Move about the line operating various equipment as needed.
• Carry out additional tasks within scope of job description.
