Job summary

Safran Cabin Materials in Marysville, WA, is seeking a Lay Up & Press Operator on the 2nd shift (1:00pm–10:30pm, Mon–Fri) to join the Legacy Department. You will prepare and lay up materials, operate the platen press, and ensure panels meet specifications.

This position offers on-site work with opportunities for overtime and cross-training. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in manufacturing, solid math skills, and the ability to read and write in English with legible handwriting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing work history preferred.
• Good basic math skills.
• Able to speak/read/write English proficiently.
• Legible handwriting/printing.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.

Responsibilities

• Pull materials from cold storage and acclimate per specification.
• Cut materials to the correct size per work order.
• Lay up materials into a panel construction per work order.
• Transfer panels into platen press adjusted to correct temperature.
• Operate press for burp cycle to remove volatiles.
• Remove cured panels from press after specified time.
• Record press processing information for traceability.
• Trim panels on CNC to specified dimensions.
• Palletize completed panels for shipping.
• Maintain storage conditions for temperature-sensitive materials.
