Job summary

Safran Cabin Materials in Ohio is seeking a Lay Up & Press Operator for the WDPM shift. Work hours are 4:00pm to 4:00am, Monday/Tuesday through Thursday with alternation every other week.

The role involves laying up and pressing panels for interior and exterior aircraft parts, with duties including material handling, press operations, CNC trimming, and completing production paperwork. Overtime may be required; a background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Good basic math skills.
• Speak, read and write English proficiently.
• Have legible handwriting/printing.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Verifying and withdrawing materials.
• Cutting/kitting materials.
• Laying up materials.
• Loading/unloading press.
• Press operation.
• Saw operation.
• Trimming panels on the CNC.
• Completing production paperwork.
• Forklift operation may be required (training provided).
• Active participation in operational improvement activities.
• Cross train or transfer to other departments as needed.
