Job summary

Stack Metallurgical Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented laboratory technician to support rigorous testing and analysis in our metals processing facility.

You will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while maintaining meticulous records and sample traceability. Responsibilities include performing solution analyses, setting up salt spray and coating weight tests, and conducting AAS testing with precise data entry.

Qualifications

• Experience performing laboratory testing and handling chemicals.
• Proficient with Excel (Advanced) and Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with Nadcap and AS9100 audit processes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Background checks are required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Follow work instructions, policies and procedures.
• Maintain neat and legible handwriting.
• Maintain sample identification and traceability.
• Maintain solution analysis logs and records.
• Accurately complete all required testing logs and records.
• Monitor tank levels and chemical constituents.
• Complete Solution Analysis on tank chemicals.
• Setup and monitor Salt Spray Testing.
• Perform Coating Weight Testing.
• Setup and monitor Etch Rate Testing.
• Perform Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy.
• Maintain all laboratory equipment and glassware.
• Understand internal and external specification requirements.
• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
