Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Laboratory Technician to support chemical process controls for aerospace surface treatment operations.

You will sample, test, analyze, document, and monitor chemical solutions used in anodizing, passivation, cleaning, etching, conversion coating, and other finishing processes. The technician ensures concentrations and operating parameters remain within specifications, identifies out-of-control conditions, and collaborates with

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience with chemical processing, plating, anodizing, passivation, or metal finishing laboratory.
• Ability to safely work with corrosive acids, alkaline solutions, and other industrial chemicals.
• Ability to read and follow written laboratory procedures, work instructions, process specifications, and safety requirements; strong documentation and recordkeeping.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and electronic data-entry systems.

Responsabilidades

• Collect representative samples from chemical processing tanks according to established sampling frequencies and procedures.
• Perform routine chemical analysis of production solutions used for anodizing, passivation, cleaning, etching, and conversion coating.
• Test and monitor chemical bath parameters including concentration, pH, temperature, and conductivity.
• Communicate out-of-specification conditions to Engineering, Quality and Production.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, chemical analysis logs, and tank histories.
