Job summary

RTX Corporation in Goleta is seeking a qualified candidate to manage lab operations, safety programs, and property management while supporting engineering teams. The role requires interaction with engineers, technicians, and leadership to ensure compliance and efficient operations.

You will oversee security and policy compliance, contribute to cost analyses, and develop action plans that align with customer goals.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience working directly with engineers, technicians and leadership in an engineering lab environment.
• Mechanical and/or electrical/electronic skills.
• Experience with OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations.
• Experience working with engineers, technicians and leadership in safety, security, compliance and property management.
• Experience with EHS, NISPOM, JAFAN and Foreign Object Elimination.
• Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with customers.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Manage Lab Operating Procedures (LOPs) by providing directions for lab users on established policies.
• Manage, coordinate, and implement Environmental Health, Safety, and Sustainment programs.
• Oversee Property & Metrology Management to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Conduct cost analyses and ensure task completion within approved budgets.
• Provide process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM).
• Oversee audit and assessment preparation.
• Lead Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program; develop corrective action plans and long-term objectives aligned with engineering customer goals.
• Safeguard classified/proprietary materials, hardware, and documentation in compliance with Export Administration Regulations.
• Develop and implement communication plans; provide consulting support to functional and engineering management.
• Influence stakeholders within and outside responsible areas regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
• Work autonomously with limited oversight, offering professional input, guidance, and problem-solving expertise.
• Perform tasks requiring physical exertion, such as standing, walking, and occasional outdoor work.
