Job summary

Skyeton, Inc. in Fayetteville, North Carolina seeks a Manager of Learning and Development to own the training materials, competency framework, and workforce-qualification system for U.S. manufacturing, flight-operations, and aircraft-maintenance teams.

This hands-on leader starts as an individual contributor and may grow to lead trainers and instructional developers across Skyeton sites. The role encompasses designing and maintaining curricula, qualification standards, and auditable records to

Qualifications

• Experience building and leading an L&D function in a regulated, safety-critical environment.
• Hands-on ownership of competency, qualification, and certification programs.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001, FAA Part 145, and related standards.
• Ability to design, document, and govern training curricula and records.

Responsibilities

• Own learning and development strategy across Skyeton US sites, starting Fayetteville.
• Develop annual training plans, budgets, and governance standards.
• Build role-based competency matrices for production, flight-ops, and maintenance.
• Administer qualification programs including sign-offs, currency, and recertification.
• Maintain auditable training records aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Lead LMS and training-records system implementation with integration to Rippling.
• Report metrics on qualification rates, currency, and training effectiveness.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to translate instructions into training content.
