Job summary

Skyeton, Inc. in Fayetteville, North Carolina, seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to develop, qualify, monitor, and improve suppliers for unmanned aircraft systems.

This hands-on role requires on-site engagement, strong technical judgment, and disciplined corrective action to meet contractual and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program Management to reduce risk, drive root-cause investigations, and ensure supplier processes deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering or Quality) required.
• 5+ years of supplier quality or related aerospace experience.
• Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and First Article Inspection.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and root-cause investigations.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers through capability assessments, risk reviews, and first article requirements
• Maintain supplier approval status, risk classifications, and quality records
• Develop and execute risk-based surveillance and improvement plans
• Lead supplier nonconformance investigations and corrective actions
• Review documents and ensure supplier deliverables meet specifications
• Support audits, production-readiness, and supplier approvals
