Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a senior software transformation leader to define a forward-looking software development vision for Interiors and to drive a multi-year roadmap that standardizes and modernizes practices. You will migrate legacy environments to modern toolchains and lead cross-team efforts across multiple sites, ensuring DO-178B/C compliance and strong program outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with QA, DER/ODA, and DevSecOps teams, with a focus on sustaining productivity

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM or an advanced degree with relevant experience.
• Experience leading cross-team transformation including SCM/CI/CD migrations.
• Hands-on with Git-based workflows and common DevOps toolchains.
• Ability to influence and lead without direct authority in a complex environment.
• Strong communication skills translating technical concepts into business impact.

Responsibilities

• Define a clear software development vision aligned with enterprise initiatives.
• Assess tools, processes, and practices across software groups and identify gaps.
• Develop a multi-year roadmap to standardize and modernize software development.
• Lead migration from legacy build environments to the preferred toolchain.
• Plan migrations and upgrades to minimize disruption and enable parallel operation.
• Collaborate with QA and Certification teams to ensure DO-178B/DO-178C compliance.
• Serve as the technical liaison between Interiors software teams and corporate IT/DevSecOps.
• Support capability development and training for software engineers.
