Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in La Porte, Indiana, is seeking an Area Leader responsible for calibration, installation and repair of instrumentation hardware in a state-of-the-art casting facility.

The role includes heat treat and casting equipment operations, with a focus on meeting industry and customer standards. You will lead calibration activities, work with Process Owners and Technicians, maintain audit schedules, and train others while being available for schedule changes and call-ins.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years’ experience with up to 480-volt control, PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic and fabrication in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and install instrumentation hardware per documentation in a manufacturing setting.
• Interpret and implement specifications per industry and customer standards.
• Maintain and update audit and calibration schedules to meet industry requirements.
• Lead and assist with equipment troubleshooting, installations, repairs and rebuilds.
• Train others in instrumentation and equipment fundamentals.
• Be available for call-in and schedule changes as needed.
