Job summary

Howmet Aerospace La Porte facility is seeking Instrumentation Technicians to calibrate, install, and repair instrumentation hardware for heat treat and casting equipment in a state-of-the-art facility between South Bend and Chicago on the shores of Lake Michigan.

The role focuses on maintaining calibration schedules, interpreting specifications, and supporting process Owners and Level III Technicians to ensure compliance with industry and customer standards.

Qualifications

Experience working with high voltage control systems (up to 480 V) and PLCs in an industrial setting.
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience with fabrication processes and hand tools.

Responsibilities

Calibrate, install, and repair instrumentation hardware in a manufacturing environment.
Interpret specifications and drawings to ensure instrumentation meets standards.
Maintain audit and calibration schedules to comply with customer requirements.
Lead and assist with equipment troubleshooting, installations, repairs and rebuilds.
Train others in instrumentation and equipment fundamentals.
