Job summary

Castelion is seeking an Instructional Designer to design, develop, and maintain training programs supporting manufacturing, engineering, quality, safety, and operations. You will translate technical processes into engaging learning experiences for a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will work with SMEs across the organization to identify training needs, build competency-based paths, and create assessments and certifications aligned with operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
• 2+ years designing instructor-led and/or eLearning programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain instructor-led, eLearning, blended learning, and on-the-job training (OJT) programs.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, safety, HR, and SMEs to identify training needs and create effective learning solutions.
• Develop competency-based learning paths, qualifications, assessments, and certification programs aligned with operational requirements.
• Create engaging learning materials including presentations, job aids, process-based training, videos, knowledge checks, and interactive learning content.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, learner-focused instructional content for diverse audiences.
• Build and maintain training content within the company's Learning Management System (360Learning).
• Design formative and summative assessments to evaluate learner knowledge, competency, and training effectiveness.
• Support implementation of role-based competency frameworks and qualification programs.
• Monitor learner progress and training completion while analyzing performance data to continuously improve training effectiveness.
• Ensure training content remains current with engineering changes, manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
• Assist with onboarding programs and new hire training initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support compliance with AS9100, OSHA, export compliance, cybersecurity, and other required training initiatives.
• Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
