Job summary

Castelion is seeking an Instructional Designer to design, develop, implement, and maintain high-quality training programs across manufacturing, engineering, quality, safety, and operations in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will collaborate with SMEs, create competency-based learning paths, assessments, and certification programs, and manage multiple instructional design projects while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Adult Learning, Human Performance, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• Experience designing and developing instructor-led and/or eLearning training programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain instructor-led, eLearning, blended learning, and on-the-job training (OJT) programs.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, safety, HR, and other SMEs to identify training needs and create effective learning solutions.
• Develop competency-based learning paths, qualifications, assessments, and certification programs aligned with operational requirements.
• Create engaging learning materials including presentations, job aids, process-based training, videos, knowledge checks, and interactive learning content.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, learner-focused instructional content for diverse audiences.
• Build and maintain training content within the company's Learning Management System (360Learning).
• Design formative and summative assessments to evaluate learner knowledge, competency, and training effectiveness.
• Support implementation of role-based competency frameworks and qualification programs.
• Monitor learner progress and training completion while analyzing performance data to continuously improve training effectiveness.
• Ensure training content remains current with engineering changes, manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
• Assist with onboarding programs and new hire training initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support compliance with AS9100, OSHA, export compliance, cybersecurity, and other required training initiatives.
• Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
