Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation, a Fortune 250 leader in motion and control technologies, seeks an Inspector for the Military Flight Controls Division in Irvine, CA. You will perform basic inspection tasks, read blueprints and specifications, and use gauges (micrometers, calipers, height gauges) to determine part acceptability.

You’ll document findings and support shop audits. Join a team focused on precision, safety, and compliance with MIL-STD-410.

Qualifications

• At least one year inspection or related experience.
• May be certified Level 1 NDT in magnetic particle or liquid penetrant inspections (MIL-STD-410 PES1-29).
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Able to use and calibrate measuring instruments/gages.
• Knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
• Team player who collaborates effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records and files.
• Perform basic parts inspection using gauges to determine acceptability.
• Operate surface analyzer to determine part finish.
• Audit assembly, test, machining for compliance to procedures.
• Document acceptances and rejections.
• Route inspected parts per instructions.
• Perform calibration on measuring/test equipment.
• Ensure equipment meets tolerances and standards.
• Set up equipment and conduct tests.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, FOD-free area.
• Perform other related responsibilities.
