Job summary

Ursa Major in Colorado is seeking an Indirect Buyer II to support sourcing, negotiating, and procurement of capital equipment, facilities-related purchases, services, software, and other indirect materials for company operations.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, Digital Operations, Finance, and Operations to ensure timely, cost-effective purchases in compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience purchasing capital equipment, indirect materials, and services.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Working knowledge of RFI/RFQ/Supplier selection/PO processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement activities for capital equipment and indirect purchasing requirements.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand technical, schedule, budget, and commercial requirements.
• Execute RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs; evaluate supplier proposals and support supplier selection.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, warranties, delivery schedules, and other terms.
• Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders with accurate documentation.
• Coordinate capital equipment purchases from PO to delivery, installation, and acceptance.
• Manage indirect commodities including equipment, facilities, software, and PPE.
