Job summary

Setnix, a Setna iO company, is a repair station specializing in maintenance, repair, and overhaul for aviation components in Tempe, Arizona. The Grinder will set up and operate grinding equipment to restore precision aircraft parts to required tolerances.

The role requires experience with ID/OD grinding, reading blueprints, and performing precise measurements with calipers, indicators, and micrometers. Strong attention to detail and safe shop practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years grinding experience using manual and/or CNC equipment preferred.
• Experience with ID/OD grinding equipment and finishing to tight tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and repair data.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, indicators, micrometers).
• Basic computer skills and English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate ID/OD grinding machines to grind, repair, and finish aircraft components.
• Perform grinding operations to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect and measure workpieces during grinding to ensure quality.
• Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and repair data accurately.
• Maintain tools, machines, and work area in a clean, safe condition.
