Job summary

SSi People in Los Angeles is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure product and process quality across fabrication, assembly, and test activities. The role collaborates with Engineering, Operations, customers, and suppliers to strengthen compliance and drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has a CQE certification, GD&T proficiency, and at least 3 years of aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing quality experience. Knowledge of PFMEA, 8D, 5-Why, and RCCA methods is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in any engineering field is a must; strong candidate with an associate degree will be considered
• Looking for Hydraulic quality Engineer supporting aerospace and military project (Ideal candidate)
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive quality experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of quality engineering disciplines, manufacturing concepts, and problem-solving techniques such as 8D, Fishbone, 5-Why, and PFMEA
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and experience with hydraulic/hydromechanical assembly and testing processes are required

Responsibilities

• Provide quality assurance support for customer-facing and internal manufacturing, assembly, and test functions.
• Support non-conforming material control activities, including Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
• Review and approve product drawings, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), manufacturing process plans, First Article Reports (FAIRs), and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Drive product and process improvements through audits, quality plans, PFMEA, control plans, failure analysis, and RCCA activities.
