Job summary

RTCA in Sumner, WA is seeking a Hone Set-Up Operator to produce precision aerospace components. You will set up, operate, and monitor honing equipment, read blueprints, and perform first article and in-process inspections to ensure conformance with specs.

Working onsite, you’ll collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to maintain quality and on-time delivery, while following safety and aerospace manufacturing requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of honing set-up/operation experience in manufacturing (aerospace preferred).
• Able to read blueprints and engineering docs with gauges and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust honing machines per work instructions and specs.
• Perform first article, in‑process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Read blueprints and manufacturing documentation to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finishes.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and inspection records.
• Complete tasks within quality and productivity standards and follow safety procedures.
